Usual Fic Updates

11/27: Finally, an update about my fanfics. Sadly, I’m still on the same chapters I’ve been on for some months now. The good news is I think I’m starting to wind down to their conclusions. Past Wild Endurance’s chapter is all about fighting, fighting, and fighting the big bad. The trouble is, as is my flaw with all other stuff, I tend to stretch things out. I want to show how tough the villain is yet I didn’t want our heroes to fall like chumps. I wanted to give an entertaining fight that showcased everyone’s personality so I have given a longwinded battle I’ll probably chop up once I finish this freaking story. The weird thing is during battles, the human characters barely get any focus. Granted, in a fandom which doesn’t give the Digimon characters enough focus, I think giving the main fighters attention is appropriate, but I think the human characters should get some reaction to all the whooping their partners are receiving. I hope once the climax for this chapter is written, I won’t be longwinded again and extend the fight scenes even further. Hopefully once the semester is over, I could see if I could resume 2 pages per day but for now I have delayed writing to concentrate on the portfolio and essay for class.

As for the Adventure x Tamers crossover, I think I’m a bit closer to their conclusions. I don’t want to jinx myself but I’m near the end of my chapter summary for chapter 6 and the struggle now is balancing everyone having a line to say as they express hope for the final battle and where new friendships would go next. I might have to go back and make sure some things are consistent, like Agumon’s reaction to Guilmon’s birth. Trying to get characters talk and reveal interesting things through their interactions is difficult to make without devolving with natter and I’ll probably need to go back to cut a lot. Still, I suspect this chapter might be among the longest and I might have to split it up. I kind of fear like with the fight scenes from Past Wild Endurance described above, I’ll stretch them out and I’ll have another long term chapter on my hands. Though that’s something I could think about later as I concentrate on the schoolwork that’s going to swallow up my life for the next week and a half. Hopefully I might have my writing energy recharge when I resume.

Tomorrow will be my last catch up entry for November. I only have the vague idea of talking about various miscellaneous things, like the TV shows and movies I’ve watched and some other fic ideas. We’ll see.
