As the school year ends...
Jun. 11th, 2007 09:19 am...stress mounts slightly as project deadlines draw near. I have to start an art career presentation by the Art Class' exam time (Don't know the exact date) and google has been a pain in the research department. Let's hope the teacher's suggestion to google it as "careers in animation" actually produces good results. And then there's that essay I should have finished weeks ago. I know what to do, it's forcing myself to actually do it that's the problem. Then there's that outline essay for Eastern Civilization class where we have to use all the documents and we all know how much trouble I have with essays. And the documents themselves are difficult to read. I can only barely understand what they are trying to communicate (A bad sign, since that means many of my classmates are most likely faring worse than I am) and I need assistance to summarize their major points before moving on. And this is before the exams that are supose to start next week on Wednesday. I wonder how someone is suppose to study during that time with all these other assignments hanging over their head?
Anyway, back to more cheerful stuff. I saw most of the cut scenes of Tomb Raider Anniversery on youtube and I've got to say that it is awesome. Lara's character was fleshed out a lot: turns out that her father had been searching for it a long time and hopes that Lara, the only one who believed in him, would continue the search. In addition, this game seems to be the first time that Lara had to actually kill fellow human beings and not animals or monsters or other living things. She was very hesitant with actually killing Natla's goons and expressed sorrow when she actually had to commit such actions. All in all, I hope we could get the game this summer. Hmm, I wonder if they'll remake the other games?
I've been in such a Power Rangers moods these last few weeks. I' m watching Wild Force at the moment and enjoying it very much and I'm very tempted to try out Ninja Storm and Mystic Force next. I've also been reading and searching for good PR fics and if you can point out any, I'd be more than grateful. I'm not writing for the fandom yet, but I'm seriously considering it. It just has so many characters in its universe and some of them literally scream to have fanfic written about them. The only things I'd have to watch out for are some of the insane Kim/Tommy fans that might bite my butt off for daring to have either character interact with another sentient being, but since I'm not a romance writer, it won't bother me much; and, to a far lesser extent, probably some of the MMPR fans who might look at you funny for daring to like the newer seasons and newer characters better than the older ones. Anyway, it sure looks like fun.
I might watch Lost Galaxy when I get home (I'm typing this entry on the slower computer in study hall at school). There aren't much good quality episodes I can find to watch, but if it comes down to it, I'll watch them if I have to. I need to refamiliarize myself with Kendrix's personality and since she's my favorite character in the season, I need to remember what I liked about her besides her good looks and such (She's, to be blunt, hot! Who says glasses diminish beauty? They, in my view, ENHANCE beauty!).
And while I'm fanboying Kendrix, let my part with this awesome Kendrix icon I made and went through Hell to post. Admit it, her glasses make her even MORE beautiful!
