Sorry for the late update
Sep. 29th, 2014 06:18 pmSorry for the late delay. I have been having issues with making Tumblr commentary with Digimon Savers and Yes! Precure 5 GoGo. With those two things, I often had trouble pinpointing what scenes I wanted to commented on, sometimes wanting to do two of them simultaneously even though there could only be 6 per episode. Even when I pinpointed the scene to screencap, the comment could take an hour or more to scrounge up. Needless to say, this put me behind on my watching schedule, so I have delayed my Xros Wars and Fresh watches, at first for around three weeks, then by the end of this semester.
That is because this problem seemed to be part of a bigger, emerging one. I had trouble focusing on what I watched, especially news programs. I often rewatched segments repeatedly to get what was going on while before I could get the gist even while distracted. This happened with my readings too, and even infected my writings but that has mostly gone away. This delayed everything enough so that I'm now seven days behind. I'm trying to scrounge my old habits back but I have a hard time multitasking now. I can't write, or browse and reblog from Tumblr without tuning out a lot of what's being said during these news programs. I became a bit more obsessed with reblogging certain Tumblr posts to the point I couldn't skim and have to read them closely. I'm also more tag obsessive so anything triggering could be blocked or anything of interest might be tracked down by my Tumblr followers. I hope this won't become a personal change since I could only drop a few shows so I could manage and I often stayed up 18 - 20 hours to finish everything. Even then, I'd still not finish anything before having to get 6-4 hours or less of sleep. This leads to sleep crashing on the weekend, which puts me a day behind a week. I've also caught a cold, which had been suppressed for many weeks before finally rearing its ugly head last week.
Needless to say, all this stress wasn't helped when my usual laptop died on the first week of class in the last week due to some power jack problem. I piggybacked on the family laptop for the week until Dad's attempt to fix it failed and we got a new laptop. I've adapted to it now and saved most of my work. I've also tried to track down my concentrating problem and been eating my cereal lunch rather than skipping it like I have the past year and more. That seemed to fix things slightly but my lack of sleep might be the other problem but I might have a problem fixing that anytime soon without falling even further behind.
I ended up dropping Last Exile with 4 or 6 episodes left so I could not fall further behind. And since I time my reading and writing on 4 - 5 minute increments with these shows, I had to reduce my "Past Wild Endurance" and "Heroes Cross" stories to one page a day. For the former I managed to get to chapter 23 but I'm around 36 pages in and the new routine might make me drag things more out. The scene I'm writing that should be short is being extended so I could focus on the development of the other four Hunters in a fight. As for the Adventure-Tamers crossover the announcement of the Adventure sequel hasn't stemmied me but it might delay other Adventure fanfics, which aren't a lot admittedly. I'm still on chapter 6 and I still drag the conversations out when I lose my place but I'm technically on the second to last scene, so maybe I'll finish it by...the end of the year? LOL, that would delay releasing the story by a lot. It makes a 2016 release estimate a optimistic guess.
But I'm still writing. I'll probably talk more about it tomorrow to make up for the month I missed. See you then!
