I'm petty

Yesterday, I ran across someone whose opinion on a season I violently disagreed with. I actually said some rude things aloud, but I was measured in the reply. If he replies, I'll just pull the "Your Mileage May Vary" card and move on.

At any rate, I'm going to be begin fall classes soon! Japanese and Sociology! I hope the former wouldn't be overwhelmingly challenging. For the latter, I have to print a certain number of response sheets per week that I could write on and hand in. The rules seem intimidating, but I'm sure when I meet the professor, he'll be a nice sort.

I was also signed up for a writing seminar taught by someone who worked wit NPR. She is herself a writer. Of course, I knew most of the things she was talking about, so I was writing one of my original pieces the whole time. Her critique of the excerpt needing simpler paragraphs and more character interaction were actually helpful. I still need to do the required research for the story, but the advice was priceless.

I'm up to Turbo in my PR rewatch. I like Justin and think it's kind of adorable how the others are kind of like substitute parents for him. Now school's starting, I"ll be back to doing the rewatches on weekends, though they will be fifteen episodes for every week. I'd probably get through each season in around 2-3 weeks. I'm doing the same pacing for Doctor Who. Divide the number of episodes in a serial by 3. The missing episodes will be gone in a couple of weeks and Doctor Who will soon be in color! Not that I don't look forward to getting to know Zoe better. But missing episodes can be such a demotivator.

I should get back to my Servant of the Tyrant fic. Keeping that advice form the seminar, I found I take to long to get to a point about the urgent matter at hand for the Chosen. Maybe a page or two per day, since that actually gave something to work over for the Jun and Asanuma pieces when I first thought they were crap. Should go for plotting and writing for other fics as well.
